Duties as a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
* Conduct accurate and thorough damage assessments as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
* Engage with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair shops to evaluate vehicle damage
* Create detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software such as Audatex
* Negotiate and agree repair costs with insurers and manage repair processes
* Oversee repair work ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
* Communicate repair progress updates effectively to customers and stakeholders
* Accurately document all activities in compliance with insurance regulations
* Keep up-to-date with the latest in automotive systems and industry best practices
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
* Proficiency in estimating damage costs, especially for large repairs
* Experience using Audatex or similar estimating software
* Strong knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle components
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Strong communication and customer service abilities
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in estimating and invoicing software
* Understanding of insurance industry procedures and regulations
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are advantageous
