1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary Aged Pupil - Supporting ASC & ADHD
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. Working within a primary setting, you will play a vital role in helping the child access learning, manage daily transitions, and feel secure and supported throughout the school day.

You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies that support emotional regulation, sensory needs, and engagement with learning.

The ideal candidate will:
1. Have experience supporting children with ASC, ADHD, or similar neurodiverse profiles
2. Be patient, calm, and consistent, with a child-centred approach to behaviour and communication
3. Be confident using visual supports, structured routines, and sensory-friendly strategies
4. Understand the importance of emotional regulation, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement
5. Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to track progress and adjust support as needed
Role Requirements:
6. Available full-time (term-time), typically Monday–Friday during school hours
7. Prior experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in an SEN or 1:1 support role
8. Understanding of autism, ADHD, and inclusive education practices
9. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
10. Right to work in the UK
