This highly recognised food business creates a range of award-winning, branded and own-label products for major retailers, prioritising innovation. They are seeking a creative Senior Innovation Development Technologist who excels in a hands-on, customer-focused role.
This is a site-based role with travel between sites, with some flexibility for WFH when suitable. A full driving licence is essential.
The Role
Reporting to the Innovation Manager, you will develop and refine new and existing concepts across several product categories manufactured at multiple sites. Focusing on front-end innovation, from concept to approval, you will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver exciting, high-quality products aligned with food & consumer trends. Once approved, your product will be handed over to the Process Development Team for a smooth launch.
This is a hands-on, food-focused role where your creativity and knowledge of current and future food trends will impress customers. You will participate in market reviews, benchmarking, food safaris, and identifying opportunities for first-to-market innovations.
The Candidate
This role suits a creative and driven Concept/Product Developer looking to advance their career with a reputable multi-site food business with diverse product categories.
A degree in food science or a related field is highly advantageous, along with experience working with retailers or major customers within food manufacturing.
You should be curious, passionate about food, well-organized, able to take ownership of projects, and influence stakeholders to deliver market-ready products.
