About Shredall | SDS Group Shredall | SDS Group, is a UK-wide provider of document shredding, secure document management, scanning and recycling services. Operations are headquartered in Nottingham (Joy House, Bestwood Business Park, NG6 8TQ) and span nationwide. Job Summary As a Logistics Administrator, you will support the efficient movement of vehicles across the companys operations, including shredding collections from customer sites. You will coordinate between drivers, customers and other departments to ensure that operations run smoothly, costs are controlled, quality standards and customer service levels are maintained. Key Responsibilities Co-ordinate schedules (collections and deliveries), liaising with drivers and clients. Monitor vehicle movements, driver availability and routes, escalating issues (delays, breakdowns, client concerns) to management. Communicate with customers regarding collection/delivery times, queries ensuring a high level of customer service in line with the companys standards. Assist fleet manager to generate regular reports (e.g., collection/delivery performance, cost per route, vehicle utilisation) and identify opportunities for efficiencies. Assist with audit & safety processes (vehicle check reports, driver documentation, health & safety). Undertake other administrative or logistics-related tasks as directed by the Operations Manager. Qualifications / Skills & Experience Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths & English; ideally a diploma or certificate in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or related field. Experience: At least 12 years in a logistics/transport administration role (within 3rd party logistics, transport fleet, or similarly busy operations. Experience in waste, recycling or service-based logistics is advantageous. Technical/IT Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work with vehicle tracking and route-planning software is advantageous. Soft Skills Excellent organisational and time-management skills able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure. Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) will liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, customers and senior management. High attention to detail and accuracy (data entry, documentation). Problem-solving mindset able to respond to unexpected situations (e.g., vehicle breakdowns, customer changes) with calm and decisive action. Team-player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn. Workplace Environment This is primarily a desk-based role at our Bestwood Business Park site (Nottingham), The transport/logistics function can involve early starts (to coordinate first collections) and occasional overtime or flexibility during busy periods.
