Your Role We’re looking for a Quality Auditor to ensure the highest food safety, quality, and compliance standards across our vertical farm operations. This role is essential to ensuring our products meet both internal standards and external customer and regulatory requirements, helping us deliver delicious and safe food with pride. Location: This role will be based at our Sandwich site, operating on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. You’ll work closely with the technical, growing, and production teams, playing a key role in maintaining BRCGS and customer standards and leading quality investigations. As part of this role, you’ll be expected to stand tall—delivering results with integrity and attention to detail. Who you’ll be working with You’ll be part of our Technical Team, working alongside colleagues across growing, packing, and operational departments to ensure quality and food safety is embedded in everything we do. What you’ll be doing Compliance & Standards: Conduct daily inspections including GMP, glass, wood, and physical audits. Ensure compliance to BRCGS, Retailer, and company standards. Manage technical data gathering and support complaint investigations. Complete regular equipment checks (e.g., temperature, weighing) as per procedures. Day-to-Day Activities: Inspect finished products, ensuring correct packing, labelling, and paperwork. Monitor CCPs, traceability systems, and process control parameters, providing relevant training where needed. Coordinate with external laboratories for microbiological and environmental sampling. Manage shelf-life testing, input specifications, and packaging standards. Lead investigations and root cause analysis for non-conformances and complaints. Health and Safety and Food Safety: Meet all responsibilities under company health & safety and HACCP policies. Actively promote a positive food safety culture across the site. Ensure correct PPE is worn and high personal hygiene standards are maintained. Immediately investigate and report any hazards or incidents. What skills you should have We’re looking for someone who is deep rooted, passionate about people, the planet, and (of course) leafy greens, someone who thrives in a collaborative and purpose driven environment. Must have skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with Quality Management Systems and implementing procedures. Self-motivated, organised, and proactive problem-solver. Competent IT skills with ability to generate reports and documentation. Nice to have skills: Previous experience in food manufacturing, technical, or auditing roles. Understanding of microbiological and environmental sampling processes. What success looks like in this role (KPIS) 3 months in – You’re familiar with our quality systems, procedures, and have built strong cross-functional relationships. 6 months in – You’ve identified improvement opportunities, led investigations, and contributed to maintaining site compliance during audits. 12 months in – You’ve embedded yourself as a key technical voice in the business, helping shape and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
