S&A Produce is the UK's largest independent strawberry grower; 1 in 7 of the strawberries you buy comes from us, and 1 in 10 blueberries. We are looking for an experienced IT professional to join our team in Marden as an IT Manager.
The purpose of this role is to manage the reliable operation and evolution of IT infrastructure, production systems and internal customer relations. This will involve the management of staff and 3rd party partners to maintain and progress the IT ecosystem, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal company disruption.
Demonstrate strong staff and stakeholder management skills with sound knowledge of appropriate technology. Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability for systems and infrastructure keeping up to date with industry trends and developments while maintaining good stakeholder relations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Act as the public face of IT for internal day to day customers.
2. Operating as a hands-on Level 3 IT Engineer alongside staff is part of the role.
3. Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems through the application of
4. appropriate security (working with the cyber security engineer) and the regular maintenance and servicing of systems and contracts to maintain supportability.
5. Planning and execution of change to both improve and maintain systems, infrastructure and process.
6. Ensure the upkeep of IT documentation, change processes and procedural reference materials to an adequate standard.
7. Ensure demonstrably efficient and effective customer support for the company through management of the helpdesk function.
8. Provide strong line management and development of direct staff.
9. Troubleshoot problems and failures in information systems and formulate effective repair strategies

Pay: £48,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
