Associate Director / Technical Director – Economics
London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
If you’re currently operating at Associate Director or Director level and feel you’re capable of more but are constrained by structure, hierarchy or a lack of real influence, this is worth a conversation.
A growing, independent, specialist environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced economist to lead and shape its economics function as part of a wider multi-disciplinary offering.
This is not a “plug and play” leadership role.
It is an opportunity to build something, influence direction and make the role your own.
The Opportunity
You will:
* Take ownership of a growing economics function (currently a team of 3)
* Work directly with senior leadership to shape the direction and growth of the team
* Expand capability beyond existing socioeconomics and HIA work
* Play a key role in developing new service lines (e.g. economic strategy, business cases, sector specialisms)
* Contribute to business development and pipeline growth
The business is already delivering across residential, regeneration, mixed-use, commercial and industrial projects and is now also involved in DCO-related work, giving genuine breadth and long-term opportunity.

About You
* Background in economics, socioeconomics or economic advisory
* Experience within a consultancy environment
* Comfortable leading projects and engaging with clients
* Commercially aware, with an interest in contributing to growth
You do not need to have done this exact role before but you should be ready to step into it.
