Study Smarter, Healthier Minds ✨

🎯 About Us

MentorMind is an AI-powered learning and wellbeing platform that helps GCSE and A-Level students study smarter, stay motivated, and thrive.

We combine adaptive study plans, instant AI-marked mock exams, gamified motivation tools, and wellbeing insights — empowering students to achieve balance between performance and health. Through evidence-based design and user-centred research, we aim to redefine what effective, holistic learning looks like for young people in the age of AI.

Founded in July 2025 by educators and technologists from the UCL Institute of Education, MentorMind is part of the UCL EdTech Labs Accelerator (Autumn 2025 Cohort) — a programme supporting high-potential education startups to develop ethical, impactful, and scalable AI solutions. As a UCL-backed EdTech venture, MentorMind sits at the intersection of research, technology, and social impact, bringing together expertise from education leadership, psychology, and data science.

💡 Our Mission

To bridge the gap between academic achievement and wellbeing, creating a future where studying is both effective and sustainable.

🌱 Our Vision

A world where every student can reach their potential without sacrificing their mental health, curiosity, or confidence.

🧠 What We Do

MentorMind supports secondary school students through an integrated platform that blends:

AI-powered study planning: personalised, adaptive revision schedules tailored to student progress.

AI-marked mock exams: instant marking, feedback, and topic-level insights to improve performance.

Gamified motivation tools: XP, streaks, and challenges that make studying engaging and rewarding.

Wellbeing tracking: daily check-ins and wellbeing nudges to help students maintain balance.

Parent and teacher dashboards: actionable analytics, progress insights, and AI-assisted lesson planning tools (in development).

Our platform is being tested with students and schools across the UK, supported by mentors from UCL’s innovation ecosystem and experts in AI ethics, education leadership, and digital wellbeing.

🌍 Our Culture and Values

We’re a mission-driven, research-informed startup that believes technology should empower, not overwhelm.

Our core values are:

Purpose before profit: We build tools that improve lives, not just outcomes.

Integrity and transparency: We prioritise data ethics, student privacy, and responsible AI.

Collaboration: We co-design with teachers, students, and researchers.

Curiosity: We value experimentation and evidence-based problem-solving.

Empathy: We approach every challenge with compassion and human-centred thinking.

We operate in a collaborative, flexible, and inclusive environment where ideas are shared freely and every voice is valued. Our interns and team members are treated as co-creators, contributing directly to real features, user testing, and product strategy.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals underrepresented in the technology and education sectors.

🚀 Why Join MentorMind?

As part of MentorMind, you’ll join a fast-growing EdTech startup deeply embedded in the UCL Innovation & Enterprise ecosystem. You’ll work alongside a passionate founding team that blends educational leadership, AI technology, and wellbeing research — and contribute meaningfully to a product already making a difference in how students learn and thrive.

This is more than an internship — it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of ethical, human-centred AI in education.
