Role Overview
Join MentorMind Education as our Education Research Intern, contributing to the design and evaluation of how AI-driven learning can support both academic success and student wellbeing.
You’ll collaborate with our founding team to study how students interact with our platform during pilots, ensuring MentorMind remains evidence-based, ethical, and impactful as we scale into schools.
This role is ideal for those passionate about the intersection of technology, pedagogy, learner motivation, and wellbeing — with opportunities to be credited in publications or reports.
Key Responsibilities
Support evaluation of school pilots through surveys, focus groups, and analytics
Conduct literature reviews on learning science, SEL, and digital wellbeing
Assist in designing ethical data processes (consent, anonymisation, safeguarding)
Analyse engagement data to uncover learning and motivation patterns
Produce accessible reports for educators and internal teams
Inform product decisions with research-driven insights
Optional involvement in conference posters, blogs, or academic writing
Preferred Skills & Experience
Background in Education, Psychology, Learning Sciences, Sociology, Data Science, or EdTech
Strong understanding of research design and data ethics
Ability to summarise findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
Familiarity with mixed-methods analysis (e.g., SPSS, Excel, NVivo — bonus)
Interest in AI and its implications for equity, inclusion, and motivation in education
Self-motivated — able to work independently and contribute proactively to team goals
