Facilities Engineer
Location: Letchworth
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a well-established site in Letchworth, working a stable Monday-Friday day shift. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and compliance of all site facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair building services including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general facilities systems
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
* Manage and coordinate external contractors and service providers
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
* Support continuous improvement of facilities and energy efficiency
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
* Respond promptly to facilities-related issues to minimise downtime
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a facilities or building services engineering role
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical background
* Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
* Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and statutory inspections
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
