About the role:
The Neighbourhood Services Section are seeking to recruit a Streetcare Driving Skilled Operative (HGV). The post holder will be required to undertake duties which include street cleansing, grounds maintenance and highway operations, although will predominately be required to operate the street sweeper. The post requires a current full HGV driving licence with the relevant CPC qualifications.
Neighbourhood Services undertakes various works throughout the County Borough, including the grounds maintenance, maintenance of parks, cycleways, minor highway repairs and street cleansing. The section is committed to providing both a proactive and reactive service, the applicant will therefore be required to have the ability to work as part of a team, be flexible and work with the minimum of supervision.
The post requires a full HGV licence and relevant CPC qualifications and the section is committed to the professional development of all of its staff, through regular training opportunities.
