Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker
We are seeking a caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our team and support the qualified nursing staff in caring for patients during their rehabilitation. Your role will involve enabling patients to meet their goals set by the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and supporting their discharge process.
About Ward 1 Berwick Infirmary
Ward 1 at Berwick Infirmary is a busy elderly rehabilitation ward that cares for patients following illness, surgery, and palliative care. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we prepare to move into our new hospital later this year.

Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings.
2. Record patient observations and monitor changes in their clinical conditions.
3. Carry out limited clinical care duties.
4. Work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in implementing both direct and non-direct patient care.
5. Provide and promote high-quality care under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

Role Expectations
* Assist qualified nursing staff in delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care.
* Support patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain high clinical standards and a safe, clean ward environment.
* Work flexible shifts over a 24-hour period, including weekends, bank holidays, and night duties, to meet service needs.
