We are excited to advertise a full time band 7 Clinical Specialist post in the Selby Getting more help Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team due to the current post holder emigrating.
This post is within the friendly Selby CAMHS team, we are a small team of professionals who offer support to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership for the team, and work in partnership with the local and wider clinical and operational leadership teams across the care group.
Selby CAMHS is a small team covering the Selby, Tadcaster and Pocklington. We offer ADHD assessment and intervention and Autism assessment in addition to generic mental health assessment and intervention.
We are looking for someone with a Professional registration which would include one of the following - Nursing, Occupational therapy or Social worker. Ideally with at least 2 years band 6 or similar experience.

7. Hold a relevant Professional Registration
8. NMP qualification would be advantageous

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
9. Registration with relevant professional body. (. NMC, GMC, HCPC, Social Work-England)
10. For nursing professions - Recognised Practice Supervisor and /or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent and
11. Trained in providing clinical supervision
12. For other professions - evidence of training in clinical supervision of other staff and able to demonstrate competence in this area of practice in clinical supervision of other staff and/or students/ trainees.
13. All professions - Postgraduate diploma (or above) in a subject relevant to the area of practice.
14. Or in the absence of postgraduate qualification o Willingness to work towards a postgraduate diploma within 2 years and
15. Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised advanced clinical qualification or Masters level credits ., Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP. dysphagia, posture, autism assessment, rebound, social prescribing, sensory processing, Approved Mental Health Professional, Practice Educator (level 3 Independent Prescriber) * Note any other advanced qualification/masters credits not listed here as an example, must be clearly evidenced and listed as "advanced qualification or masters credits" - within the individuals application form
16. And have Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD
17. Substantial clinical experience of working in relevant specialist area in collaboration with service users, families and relevant others or transferable experience of similar settings and willing to gain knowledge within first 12 months
18. Experience of assessing and managing risk (harm to self, others and safeguarding)
19. Substantial experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
20. Involvement in quality improvement activities

21. Extensive knowledge of current issues relating to health needs of patients in the field of practice, regionally and nationally
22. Understanding and working knowledge of the legal framework and statutory obligations under the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act
23. Detailed understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice
