Essential Skills Required
Qualified MOT Tester (DVSA approved).
Minimum 4 years' experience as a Vehicle Mechanic.
Level 3 Certification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair (or equivalent).
Proven mechanical knowledge with strong experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Ability to diagnose cars to a high level and carry out accurate, efficient repairs.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques.
Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Team player with a high level of attention to detail.
Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
A valid driving licence is essential.

Preferred Skills (Not Essential)
At least Level 3 Hybrid and EV training/certification.
Experience working with hybrid and electric vehicles.
If not yet qualified, we will support you in completing hybrid & EV training.

Job Requirements
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and confident using tablets and online garage management systems.
Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles to a high standard.
Diagnosing faults to a high level and completing quality repairs efficiently.
Conducting MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and recording results correctly.
Taking ownership of jobs from start to finish, working independently without supervision.
Performing road tests to confirm repairs.
Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe workshop in line with health & safety standards.
Delivering excellent customer service to build trust and repeat business.
Completing paperwork and admin tasks accurately and on time.
Supporting the front office with tasks such as booking appointments, handling enquiries, and assisting customers.
Occasionally overseeing the workshop in the absence of senior staff.
Communicating effectively with colleagues to maintain an efficient, collaborative environment.
Ensuring all work complies with current health, safety, and environmental regulations.
