Role Summary
Occupational therapy assistants support occupational therapists on the Littlemore Mental Health site in Oxford, working with patients detained under the Mental Health Act in Wenric and Lambourn units.
The role offers an RSU allowance of £1,446 per annum and is split across the 20‑bed low secure forensic unit for men and the 15‑bed mixed‑gender step‑down unit.
Key Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 with patients, offering activities and interventions under OT guidance.
* Deliver group work and facilitate community outings for skill development.
* Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
* Bring own ideas and work with initiative.
Requirements
* Must complete PEACE (de‑escalation and safe physical restraint) training.
