Brief Description
The Seasons Delivery Manager leads for the route in all aspects of seasons management and weather-related incidents, delivering assurance and mitigation plans, and developing seasonal resilience strategies to ensure safety and performance on the railway throughout the year.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop route seasonal resilience plans considering new technological, plant, and operational improvements.
2. Coordinate with central and external bodies to implement best practices in seasonal strategies.
3. Improve performance across key indicators related to weather management.
4. Serve as the primary contact for all seasonal and extreme weather management matters.
5. Maintain and improve the Route Seasonal Plan with relevant teams.
6. Ensure compliance with operational standards and report on KPIs.
7. Enhance extreme weather response processes and liaise with gold command during major incidents.
8. Manage the seasonal treatment fleet and liaise with suppliers and operators.
9. Oversee the autumn budget for procurement related to adhesion mitigation.
10. Lead training and management of autumn controllers.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
* Leadership skills and degree-level education or equivalent.
* Strong quantitative analysis and relationship-building skills.
* Proven track record of working to deadlines with accuracy.
* Presentation skills and a drive to achieve tangible outcomes.
Desirable Skills
* Understanding of business and safety case preparation.
* Previous management experience.
* Knowledge of railway seasonal impacts and mitigation strategies.
