Were looking for enthusiastic, hard-working people to join our Grounds Team at Chepstow Racecourse on a casual basis.
This is an exciting role where no two days are the same. Whether youre preparing the track for the thrill of race day, building hurdles, watering or making sure the site is clean and welcoming youll play a key part in making sure everything runs smoothly.
What Youll Be Doing:
1. Assisting with general course maintenance under direction of the Head Grounds Person and Clerk of the Course
2. Learning about how to look after our course surfaces, be it turf or All-weather tracks
3. Using tractors, machinery, and all-weather equipment as needed (following training)
4. Maintaining lawn and parade ring areas to high standards. If it grows it is our responsibility!
5. Keeping car parks, tracks, and surrounding areas clean and tidy
