About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or early‑career pharmacist to join our rotational Band 6 programme in Acute at NHS Forth Valley. The post holder will participate in a structured rotation covering clinical pharmacy services, dispensary and aseptic services, and medical, surgical, front‑door and care‑of‑the‑elderly specialties, working alongside dedicated clinical pharmacy technicians. In addition, the role includes participation in the pharmacy on‑call rota for the FVRH site and coverage of extended working hours and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in structured clinical rotations across multiple specialties.
* Provide clinical pharmacy services, including dispensing and aseptic services.
* Support the pharmacy on‑call rota and cover extended working hours and public holidays.
* Contribute to dispensary and aseptic services.
* Collaborate with clinical pharmacy technicians and the wider pharmacy team.
Professional Development
* Active support through the RPS Post‑registration Foundation Pharmacist Curriculum, offering a structured pathway for clinical, leadership, education and research skills.
* Encouraged and supported to pursue independent prescribing qualifications where prescriber ready.
* Opportunities to shape future clinical pharmacy service delivery and participate in redesign initiatives.
Requirements
* Newly qualified or early‑career pharmacist, or foundation trainee due to sit the summer 2026 GPhC registration assessment.
* Successful completion of the GPhC registration assessment and joining the GPhC register.
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
* Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
