Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00 - 17:30 (Flexible)
Hybrid working 2 days from home 3 office-based
Salary: Up to £35,000

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full ocean freight import process, from origin to final delivery
* Liaise with global offices and agents to ensure smooth coordination of shipments
* Negotiate rates with suppliers to deliver best-value solutions for clients
* Select appropriate contracts and carriers to suit individual customer needs
* Provide competitive quotations and monitor market trends
* Maintain clear and regular communication with clients throughout the shipment lifecycle
* Ensure accurate documentation to support customs clearance
* Coordinate delivery schedules with hauliers and suppliers
* Troubleshoot and resolve delays or shipment issues as they arise
* Manage invoicing and cost control to ensure accurate margin tracking
* Join client visits alongside the sales team to build long-term relationships
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in ocean imports within freight forwarding
* Strong knowledge of end-to-end import processes, including customs procedures
* Confident in negotiating rates and selecting suitable carriers
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shipments at once
* A proactive problem-solver who can remain calm under pressure
* Comfortable working with freight management systems and Microsoft Office
