· Some experience working in a commercial kitchen as a line chef or kitchen assistant
· Passion for delivering exceptional food, and cooking to our spec every time
· Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
· Eye for detail and ability to work calmly under pressure
· Minimum Level 1 Hygiene
· Ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the business – including weekends and evenings

Joseph Holt is an independent, six-generation family-owned company, with an ever-expanding Pub Estate in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and Lancashire. Our 127 pubs include traditional community pubs, food houses, and some even have accommodation. Since 1849 we have been brewing a wide range of award-winning beers in our Manchester brewery. A bit about the managers -
Hi, we are Chris and Jess,
We are the managers at The Hayfield and are looking for a new line chef to join our team. Between us we have over 30 years experience in the hospitality trade and have both worked for Joseph Holt for over 12 years. In that time we have taken on the roles such as General Manager and Kitchen Manager. We are looking for a line chef to not only help support us within the business but for us to support and develop them with a hopes of helping them progress. The right person will have a passion for delivering high quality food and service, maintain food specification, will have great presentation and standards within the team, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene and safety practices, and have a real can do attitude. In return, we will both offer hands on support within your role and development, a competitive pay rate and a great place to work. We also believe that a work life balance is important, especially within hospitality and aim to provide all of our full time employees with a 4 on 3 off structure within their rota.
