We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Lichfield, Staffordshire. This is a full-time role commencing in March 2026, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The Role

Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with a variety of special educational needs
*
Assisting teachers in the preparation and delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons
*
Modifying learning materials and approaches to suit individual academic and behavioural requirements
*
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive participation in learning
*
Collaborating closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective support
The Ideal Candidate
*
Graduates or soon-to-be graduates from any subject background
*
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is advantageous, though not essential (full training will be provided)
*
Patient, resilient, and compassionate, with a genuine passion for inclusive education
*
Strong communicators who are proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop professionally
