This position is considered to be a core business activity within the company and involves various tasks. Most activities in the Engine Shop and Test Cell fall under Gas Turbine Engine Repair and Overhaul Technician. A fully trained Engine Fitter can perform tasks related to Disassembly, Assembly, Inspection, Balancing, Airflow, and Testing of Gas Turbine Engines according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
Key responsibilities and duties:
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
* Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures, quality procedures, manufacturer and customer specifications, and industry regulations.
* Raise Non-conformance reports as necessary.
* Understand product documentation such as AD’s, SB’s, CEB’s, and SIL’s (Training Provided).
* Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of parts as specified in overhaul or maintenance manuals, DWI, or ERI.
* Complete all documentation related to the work performed.
* Disassemble engines following manufacturer instructions.
* Visually examine and detail inspect engine parts.
* Perform Borescope Inspections on engines.
* Balance rotating components.
* Assemble main engine, modules, and sub-assemblies.
* Flow test individual components and assemblies.
* Test engines and components.
* Adhere to Quality, Safety, Environmental Management Systems, and related policies.

* Additional technical training or experience preferred.

* Knowledge of engine manuals, overhaul procedures, and service bulletins (Training Provided).
Organisational relationships:
* Reports directly to the Operations Team Leader.
Qualifications and training:
* Recognized engineering apprenticeship and relevant certification.
Form 1 holder (d)
* Human Factors training.
Experience:
* Engineering background with relevant certification (e).
* Industry experience (d).
