About the team:
We are looking to grow our already well established and respected Leveraged Finance team in London with the addition of an Analyst who can assist in all aspects of deals from analyst / origination through to completion and working with our syndications team to distribute underwritten debt.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain significant exposure on a wide range of Pan-European transactions with Tier 1 sponsors and corporates across Leveraged Loans and High Yield. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients and senior internal stakeholders across all parts of a transaction from origination / pitching through the whole execution process and working with syndications / credit distribution teams post deal completion.
The Leveraged Finance team is an integral part of the Investment Banking operation working closely with the Financial Sponsors Coverage, Advisory and Financing teams along with, M&A and ECM amongst others. The team offers solutions that form part of a holistic toolkit provided by Société Generale to address the varied requirements its clients.

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
* Build and manage client relationships with target borrowers / issuers in the Leveraged Finance space, supporting the team in winning mandates
* Create from scratch and assist other team members in creation of financial models and analysis, helping on pricing and structuring of deals
* Identify and address clients' needs in terms of raising, refinancing and optimising capital structures
* Represent Leveraged Finance in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the SG client base
* Support internal credit processes and risk analysis
* Support the team in effective and responsible execution of mandates
* Support the syndicate team in distributing the financing to investors, post its origination and underwriting by the leveraged finance team
PROFILE REQUIRED
* Understanding of loan financing markets – the dynamics, related instruments including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant financing solutions
* Strong financial analysis and modelling skills with experience in pricing and structuring debt
* Ability to create clear, structured, compelling and comprehensive pitch material focussed on addressing clients' needs
* Ability to understand risks and act responsibly in line with SG Group values and all applicable rules / regulations
* Experience in assisting with credit memo's requests
* Team orientated with willingness to assist in a broad range of tasks, often simultaneously, to ensure the highest levels of service are provided to our clients
* Very strong all round communication skills – written and verbal.
* Additional European languages are beneficial not essential
