Job summary: Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Operative working within Domestic Services. This post is based at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital in Ystrad Mynach.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The post-holder will undertake a range of specific work functions across the Facilities service.
The working hours will be 15:00 - 20:00.
Main duties of the job
The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential:
* Knowledge gained on corporate and local facilities induction and completion of internal training programme over a 12 week period (1 week departmental training with further 2 weeks on the job training).
* Working knowledge of procedures and equipment relevant to post.
* Knowledge of COSHH regulations Health & Safety Policies and work procedures.
* Knowledge of Infection Control Policy, Guidelines and Procedures.
* Knowledge of ISO 9002 regards recording data.
* Basic Food Hygiene Training.
* Knowledge and compliance with Mandatory Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers - NHS Circular CEL 23 (2010).
