Today, Aqualla boasts a turnover of £16m and a dedicated team of more than 60 employees, with ambitious plans for further expansion. To support this growth, Aqualla is seeking a part time Accounts Assistant to work as one half of a job share and as part of a larger accounts team. Role Purpose To support the smooth running of the finance function by delivering accurate processing, effective communication, and reliable administrative support. The role contributes to maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams while ensuring financial information is handled efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Provide general support across the finance function, assisting with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks. Act as a point of contact for customer and internal finance queries, ensuring timely and professional communication. Support the processing and maintenance of customer accounts, including adjustments, credits, and returns where required. Assist with cash allocation activities and general ledger updates, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation. Supporting the credit control function with chasing aged debtors when needed Contribute to reporting activities, including preparation and maintenance of routine financial or commercial reports. Support month-end and other periodic finance processes as needed. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring data integrity across systems. Work collaboratively with wider teams (e.g. sales, operations, customer service) to support issue resolution and continuous improvement. General business admin tasks. General Expectations Work collaboratively and supportively within the job share, keeping department and business goals at the centre. Follow established processes while remaining adaptable to changing business needs. Take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion or appropriate handover. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment. Additional Information This role is within a growing business and an evolving team and therefore is likely to change over time. Responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business needs, with flexibility expected as priorities change. Essential Criteria Minimum 2 years experience working in a finance role Demonstrated experience of working with MS outlook and excel Excellent communication and customer service skills Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week, Mon/Wed/Fri Benefits: holiday purchase pension cash back medical EAP
