My client a leading UKDistribution company who is on a journey of exponential growth isrecruiting for an exceptionally talented and driven OperationsShift Manager.
The Operations Manager role willbe driven by key performance indicators (KPIs) and flow managementand it will be focused on overseeing and managing the streamlinedfunctioning of their parcel sortation Hub. A crucial requirementfor this role is handson experience with Sig Sigma/ContinuousImprovement.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Manageand oversee the daytoday operations of the parcel sortationwarehouse ensuring smooth and efficientoperations.
* Develop and implement strategies tooptimise productivity reduce costs and improve overall operationalperformance.
* Monitor and analyse keyperformance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement andimplement necessary changes.
* Utilise flowmanagement techniques to ensure timely and accurate sortingprocessing and dispatching of parcels.
* Lead andmotivate a team of warehouse staff providing guidance training andsupport to ensure high levels of performance andproductivity.
* Collaborate with otherdepartments such as logistics customer service and quality controlto ensure seamless coordination andcommunication.
* Implement and maintain standardoperating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency inwarehouse operations.
* Drive continuousimprovement initiatives utilising Six Sigma methodologies and othertools to identify and implement processenhancements.
* Ensure compliance with health andsafety regulations maintaining a safe working environment for allstaff.
* Prepare and present regular reports onoperational performance highlighting achievements challenges andproposedsolutions.
AboutYou:
* Previousexperience in running a mechanical sortation hubwithin a parcel sortation warehouse isessential.
* Proven record ofachieving and exceeding KPIs in a fastpaced operationalenvironment.
* Strong knowledge and experience inflow managementtechniques.
* Six Sigmacertification and experience in implementingcontinuous improvement initiatives.
* Excellentleadership and people management skills with the ability tomotivate and inspire a team.
* Strong analyticaland problemsolving abilities with a keen eye fordetail.
* Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectivelywith crossfunctional teams.
* Proficient in usingwarehouse management systems and otherrelevant software.
* Ability to work underpressure and meet tightdeadlines.
ShiftPattern
* Flexibility towork a shift pattern of 4 days on and 3 daysoff.
