GSL Education are looking for a patient, resilient, and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Nottingham. In this rewarding role, you will provide targeted support to pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, helping them engage positively with learning and achieve personal growth.
Role Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils displaying challenging behaviour
* Help implement individual behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies.
* Encourage emotional regulation, resilience, and self-confidence.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to promote consistency and progress.
* Support the creation of a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
What You’ll Bring as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs.
* A calm, understanding, and proactive approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
