Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join an innovative team for Calm Space's Children's Homes, to help provide the young people in our home with the best possible care. As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll be a crucial part of Leading a passionate team, helping vulnerable young people through their challenges and creating positive change in their lives.

Essential Requirements

· Previous experience as a Senior or team leader at least 1 year's experience

· A genuine interest in working with children and young people

· Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

· certification in Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare

· Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).

· Has a valid manual driving license.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, your role will include:

·You will support the Registered Manager in establishing and maintaining a safe, caring, nurturing and supportive home for 3 children who have experienced a difficult start in life.

·You will support children with all aspects of daily life and provide a positive and supportive role model, responding to their emotional and physical needs.

·You will play a key role in mentoring and guiding the team of support workers to ensure they are competent in their duties, and well supported in their role.

·Daily activities will range from supporting the children to get up in the morning and attend school, providing care and support with domestic tasks, supporting them with socializing and trips out, and supporting and guiding them through emotionally difficult times.

·You will contribute to care and support planning, inducting new staff, planning the day and directing staff, and ensuring a safe and holistic environment for the children.

* Build trusted, professional relationships in a safe and structured environment

* Leading recreational activities: Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well-being.

* Emotional support: Providing guidance, care, and person-centred support to help children navigate difficult moments

* Documentation: Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records.

* Maintaining a safe environment: Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well-organised

* Team collaboration and management: Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment

* Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and care documentation

* Follow safeguarding protocols and uphold children's rights and welfare

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
