Overview
This role is for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work across acute and community settings within NHS Borders, including orthopaedics, acute medicine, stroke, children & young people’s services and community hospitals.
Responsibilities
* Rotate through various clinical settings, providing OT assessment and treatment to maximise independence and facilitate prompt discharge.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals.
* Engage in ongoing professional development through the Flying Start Programme, regular in‑service training, and frequent supervision.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Occupational Therapist (degree level).
* Relevant placement or clinical experience in orthopaedics, acute medicine, stroke, children & young people services and community settings is advantageous.
Employment Terms
* From 1 April 2026 a full‑time working week will be 36 hours, with a proportional increase in hourly rate to maintain pay.
