This is a highly rewarding opportunity and would particularly suit someone who genuinely cares about young people who struggle to thrive in mainstream education. If you are passionate about helping pupils re-engage with learning, raise their attainment, and build their aspirations for the future, this role offers the chance to make a real and lasting impact.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to engage with a bespoke and varied curriculum designed around individual needs.

Responsibilities include:

* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH)
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
* Building positive relationships with students to increase confidence and independence
* Supporting pupils to re-engage with education and raise attainment levels
* Contributing to a varied curriculum, including both on-site and off-site enrichment activities

The Ideal Candidate

* Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)
* A calm, resilient, and patient approach
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils who may have struggled in mainstream settings
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and proactively
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA qualification) are desirable but not essential

What We Offer

* Competitive daily rates
* Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
* Opportunities for training and professional development
* Potential for long-term or permanent placement
* The opportunity to be part of a setting that truly values tailored education and pupil progress

If you are enthusiastic about supporting vulnerable young people and want to help them succeed through a personalised and engaging approach to education, we would love to hear from you.
