Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor / Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist educational setting in Norwich.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to engage with a bespoke and varied curriculum designed around individual needs.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH)
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
* Building positive relationships with students to increase confidence and independence
* Supporting pupils to re-engage with education and raise attainment levels
* Contributing to a varied curriculum, including both on-site and off-site enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)
* A calm, resilient, and patient approach
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils who may have struggled in mainstream settings
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and proactively
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
