Our NPS client requires an administrator to join the busy team on a temporary basis. For the right candidate, this will be providing ongoing support to a Probation Officer (PO) within the National Probation Service.
The role is part-time, Monday to Friday, 10hrs per week, 2hrs per day, 10am to 12pm, £12.21/hr.
As the PO only works till 12pm Monday to Friday, the 2hrs per day would suit someone potentially returning to work and fitting their hours around the school run.
The role is based in Worksop and the expectation would be that the successful candidate would attend the office every day whilst in training and for all appointments.
This would be reviewed after a period of time.
This role will offer a great opportunity to work within the Probation Service and gain experience within the Public Sector.
As you will be involved with the support of the PO's work, you will need to be able to organise and prioritise their workload, manage their diaries and work commitments, ensuring all targets are met.
Duties may include but not be limited to
* Proof-reading the work of the PO
* Providing organisational support and ensuring the PO's tasks are completed on time
* Providing administrative support within the National Probation Service (NPS)
* Liaising with staff and other probation users with professionalism
* Administrative duties, dealing with queries within specified timescales
* Filing
* Distribution of mail and emails
* Inputting data onto the probation systems
* Managing the PO's diary, arranging meetings, taking notes and action points

Our client requires the following skills
* Good strong admin experience
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, outlook and Teams
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to remain professional at all time and converse with a variety of service users
* Excellent organisational skills
* Desirable - secretarial or PA experience
Please note this role will involve the successful candidate coming into contact with offenders and those on probation.
The pay rate is £12.21/hr and benefits include holiday pay and pension scheme.
Full training will be given on the systems and protocols.
The role will require full 3 year referencing and HMPPS vetting. Due to this, the role will not be an immediate start and could take a couple of months to become compliant.
