Job overview

The Estates Audit Officer will support the Estates and Facilities team to ensure contractual compliance of the Trust’s PFI services. The successful candidate will monitor daily delivery, drive improvements, develop robust reporting systems and support safe patient care within hospital environments.


Main duties of the job

* Monitor the day-to-day delivery of PFI services to maintain contract compliance.
* Analyse service data, identify errors and omissions, and present clear findings.
* Develop and maintain robust monitoring and reporting systems.
* Support improvements in service delivery and quality through agile practices.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive the estate agenda.
* Maintain a flexible approach to manage workload and unsocial hours as required.


Person specification


Further Training

* Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
* Adaptable and able to maintain control in stressful situations.
* Excellent personal organisation skills.
* Knowledge of NHS or other PFI contract requirements.
* Previous use and experience of Concept CAFM software.


Contractual Requirements

* Flexible approach to work, the ability to manage own workload including unsocial hours.
* Previous NHS experience in a similar role.


Knowledge

* Ability to analyse and interpret data and identify errors and omissions.
* Previous experience of working in a NHS organisation.
* Ability to maintain a flexible and collaborative approach.
* Knowledge and understanding of performance/quality auditing of systems.
* Able to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
* Proficient in the use of information technology.
* Excellent communication skills whether written, verbal or electronic.
* Interest in learning about the delivery of PPMs, lifecycle replacements, reactive maintenance, and/or quality monitoring.


Qualifications

* Good standard of general education, including English and Maths.
* RSA / NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
* Ability to use all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* NVQ or above relevant.


Experience

* Ability to work autonomously under own initiative to achieve set targets but also to work collaboratively within a team.
* Ability to translate data into simple terms and communicate the key messages to a range of staff.
