Role Overview:
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with both vendors and customers. Success in this role requires a proactive, strategic mindset and a strong focus on delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Achieve monthly and annual gross profit (GP) targets.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of each account and execute tailored growth plans.
* Proactively seek new opportunities and prospects in key technology markets.
* Build collaborative relationships with internal departments to drive business efficiency.
* Support vendor- and commercially-led initiatives and activities.
* Engage with continuous learning opportunities offered by the company and its partners.
* Work closely with management to meet personal and business objectives.
* Create and execute short, medium, and long-term business plans aligned with company goals.
* Maintain a structured and organised approach to account management.
* Meet all required metrics and KPIs.
* Clearly articulate and promote the company’s value proposition.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience in account management, sales, or business development within the technology or IT sector.
* Good understanding of enterprise technology solutions (e.g., server, storage, infrastructure).
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Goal-oriented, with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
