Overview
Joni at the Botanical Gardens is looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to take on the role of Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-of-house, hosting, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.
The role would suit someone with exceptional communication skills, and an individual who works at their best under pressure and in fast paced environments who is also capable of managing several tasks at one time.
Responsibilities
* Acting site manager in General Managers absence.
* Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring all customers are happy and having a fantastic experience.
* Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bars areas and the kitchen.
* Monitor labour, making sure the team are working effectively, whilst ensuring each customers is getting the highest quality of service.
* Dealing with any customer complaints appropriately.
* Complete daily and weekly tasks.
* Accurately cashing up in the absence of the General Manager.
* Accurate Stock count in the absence of the General Manager.
Experience
* Proven experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, supervising or acting as duty manager.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and presentation.
* Experience in culinary roles or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Background in barista roles is desirable but not mandatory.
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and eye for detail.
* Familiarity with food service standards across diverse dining environments

Pay: From £13.71 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
