Field Service Engineer – South at Endress+Hauser Group
Location: South (Milton Keynes or Oxford or M4 corridor)
Role & Responsibilities
* To commission, calibrate and repair onsite instrumentation
* To service, calibrate and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation
* To work in all industries within the Company customer database
* To liaise with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork are available to enable them to carry out their duties
* To liaise with customers when required prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the job and to advise estimated time of arrival and any delays
* To adhere to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments
* To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system
* Requirement to travel throughout the UK, overseas and possibly offshore
* Provide services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services Manager
* Timely and accurate job reporting in accordance with the Company service report forms
Qualifications & Profile
* Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation or Control
* Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years\' Process Control experience
* A clean driving licence
* Problem solving and diagnostic skills
* Process Instrumentation or similar experience would be preferred
* Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
* Flexible approach to working activities
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* The ability to develop good working relationships with customers
* Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
