Support Worker – Nights
Location: Bristol
Salary: £28,510 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours)
Hours: 7pm–6am | 4 nights on / 4 nights off
The Role We are recruiting a Nights Support Worker to provide out-of-hours support in an accommodation-based service for young people aged 16–25. You will help maintain a safe, supportive environment and support residents to move towards positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the safety and security of the building and residents
Provide housing management, welfare advice, and practical support
Engage with young people, offering guidance, emotional support, and signposting
Carry out room and building checks and report repairs
Maintain accurate records, including incidents and risk assessments
Respond to emergencies and safeguarding concerns
Manage low-level anti-social behaviour
About You
Experience working with young people, particularly those with complex needs or homelessness in Support Worker role
Knowledge of safeguarding, housing, welfare benefits, and risk management
Confident lone worker with strong communication skills
Able to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries
Flexible to work nights and weekends
Qualifications
Level 3 qualification (or working towards) in youth work, health & social care, mental health, or housing
IT literate with good written skills
Desirable: Safeguarding, Mental Health First Aid, or coaching qualifications
