Nursery Teacher\nReporting to: Senior Nursery Teachers, Junior Managers, and Senior Managers\nLocation: Two schools in London - Putney, SW15 6EH and Southfields, SW19 6SP\nSalary: £31,000 per annum (Experienced Level 3 & above with over 1 year of experience)\n\n£1,000 Performance Related Bonus\nTotal Salary + Bonus: £32,000\n\nWorking Hours:\nFull-time, Monday – Friday; shifts include 7:15 am-5:15 pm / 8:00 am-6:00 pm / 8:30 am-6:30 pm (1-hour lunch break + 15-minute coffee/tea break)\n\nBenefits:\n\n24 or 25 days holiday per year + 8 bank holidays (33 days in total)\n\n1 day off every 2 weeks, adding an extra 26 days off per year (59 days off in total)\n\nExtra holiday accrued through loyalty (1 extra day per year and per promotion)\n\nInternal promotion opportunities (Senior Nursery Teachers can earn up to £33,600 per year, Junior Managers up to £41,600)\n\nFull training provided, including paediatric first aid, online courses, and upskilling opportunities in areas such as SEN and child development\n\nCycle to Work Scheme\n\nIn-house chefs and housekeepers, allowing teachers to focus solely on childcare\n\nFree mental health & wellbeing program\n\nFree tea, coffee, and other refreshments on breaks\n\nStylish uniform provided\n\nRoles Available:\n\nPositions available in baby rooms and main school\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain high standards in front of children, parents, and staff\n\nFollow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, using relevant paperwork to plan, observe, track, and support child development\n\nBe responsible for a key group of children, keeping accurate records of their development and achievements\n\nWrite termly learning journeys for key children\n\nMonitor individual care needs, including medical, sleeping, and dietary requirements\n\nRecord sleep times, eating habits, and bottle feeds, and conduct weekly observations\n\nPlan and execute activities suited to children's development both indoors and in the garden\n\nEnsure safety and adhere to safeguarding procedures\n\nMonitor unwell children according to sickness and temperature policies, informing management as necessary\n\nChildcare Tasks:\n\nProvide toys, activities, and equipment suited to each child’s developmental stage\n\nEngage children in singing, storytelling, and games\n\nSupervise and assist at mealtimes, including feeding and serving food\n\nChange nappies regularly or as needed\n\nCreate and maintain classroom displays with children’s work\n\nClean up after activities, including washing painting materials and utensils\n\nAssist in the induction process for new children\n\nMaintain safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards\n\nTeamwork and Communication:\n\nSupport fellow staff members and communicate effectively within the team\n\nGreet, approach, and talk to parents daily\n\nConduct termly parent-teacher meetings (three per year)\n\nBuild professional relationships with parents and share updates on child development\n\nBe flexible in nursery duties as required\n\nWork collaboratively with management to maintain nursery standards\n\nAttend out-of-hours meetings, including parent evenings, events, and staff meetings\n\nUphold the reputation and standards of the nursery both during and outside working hours\n\nApplication Requirements:\n\nCandidates must be Level 3 qualified or above, with at least one year of experience in a similar role
