Qualifications: -
* Valid forklift operator license/certification, Previous experience in waste management or related field preferred, Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures, Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
* We are looking for a Waste Operative to join the Waste and Cleaning team to undertake the collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and other materials including the compaction of waste and cardboard.
* You should be capable of working and staying compliant to Health and Safety regulations, monitor the performance of equipment, provide support to the On-Site Waste Coordinator to complete site objective and make sure to follow PPE guidance.
* You will hold a current Counterbalance FLT license, be prepared to work outside including in extreme weather conditions, have a good level of communicative English as well as be detail conscious and excellent time management skills to follow tight deadlines. You will also be required to pass a DBS Check and undertake a drugs/alcohol screening test prior to starting.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in Health & Safety training, an understanding of waste management and environmental legislation, have previous experience in the use of static balers and compactors and also be capable of carrying out strenuous tasks.
