An inclusive and Good Ofsted:rated Primary School in Kennington, SW London, is seeking a confident and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their dedicated SEN Unit. This is a long:term opportunity for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience with Autism and thrives in a structured, nurturing environment.
The schools SENCo is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can adapt quickly, build trust with pupils, and help implement tailored learning plans for children with communication and sensory needs.
Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

Support children with Autism and complex learning needs in a small, specialist classroom.
*
Use visual supports, social stories, and sensory activities to aid learning and engagement.
*
Provide emotional regulation and behaviour support throughout the day.
*
Work closely with class teachers and external professionals to deliver consistent strategies.
Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:
*
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
*
Strong understanding of Autism and sensory processing.
*
Calm, resilient, and reliable personality.
*
Confident using PECS or basic Makaton (training provided if needed).

Pay: GBP85:GBP105 per day
