Are you an experienced leader looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to join the PCMH Directorate as a Directorate Manager (Band 8b) on a 6-month secondment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital health and care services across Wales.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational management for all services within the Directorate, ensuring delivery of key performance targets including financial balance, IMTP, quality, and regulatory compliance.
* Lead and deliver success across a range of key deliverables, including service efficiency, quality, workforce, and effectiveness.
* Support the Director in facilitating the cultural and transformative move to Product as part of DHCW’s strategic direction.
* Embed agile delivery and Product methodology within Directorate teams.
* Develop and maintain robust management systems to ensure KPIs are met.
* Oversee budget setting, financial management, and resource allocation.
* Foster effective communication and engagement with staff, stakeholders, and external partners.
* Lead service reviews, manage capacity, and secure additional funding for service development.
* Ensure compliance with DHCW policies, governance, and quality standards.
* Participate in the DHCW On Call Rota and support the wider NHS Wales objectives.

Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) is an expert national body and part of NHS Wales. We work in partnership with NHS Wales colleagues and other key stakeholders to provide national digital and data services which support the delivery of health and social care in Wales. Modern health and care services depend on good digital tools, data and information. DHCW runs or works with more than 100 services and delivers major national digital transformation programmes to support this. In addition, DHCW provides expert advice in relation to cyber security and information governance. We give frontline staff the digital tools which help them provide safer and more efficient care.
