School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences
Full-time, fixed term maternity cover from 1st September 2026 for 10 months or earlier return of post-holder
Joining the Learning and Teaching Discipline Group in Biological Sciences based within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University, the successful candidate will teach across the Biosciences programmes, primarily to Biological Sciences and Human Biology students. The candidate could be expected to teach across any of the modules that sit underneath the two programmes (see below links), albeit we envisage specific emphasis to teaching on modules related to genetics, anatomy & physiology, molecular biology:
The majority of the work will consist of on-site teaching duties, with the opportunity for some hybrid working to undertake content planning and marking.

5. Have achieved, or be on a pathway to achieve, professional accreditation in teaching practice.
6. Relevant subject specific knowledge within biosciences disciplines.
