About the Role
Amazon Books org is seeking a Content Creator/Editor responsible for managing large-scale AI-generated content. The role involves curation to ensure the content catalog is relevant, easy to consume, valuable, and aligned with our style. You will collaborate with a talented team of editors and managers in a fast-paced environment to review and create book content for a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate should deliver high-quality narratives, review content for editorial defects, and possess strong editing, time-management, and communication skills. You will own the editing process from start to finish, understanding trade-offs, mitigating risks, and measuring impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review SOPs and onboard new projects.
2. Train and audit a team of editors, providing feedback for improvement.
3. Conduct deep dives in audits and provide insights.
4. Share detailed inferences with stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Content Writer, Editor, Copywriter, or similar role.
* Strong writing and editing skills with command over grammar, punctuation, and style.
* Certification in Content Writing, Creative Writing, English Literature, or related fields.
* Exceptional research skills and ability to understand complex topics.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Project management skills, proactive attitude, customer focus, and ownership.
* Self-motivated with effective communication skills for remote work and escalation.
* Ability to understand business and technology processes, and analyze risks.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2-4 years of experience in content writing.
* Experience in catalog content creation.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
