Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient General Catering Assistant to join our night shift team in Hull, United Kingdom. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering excellent food service.
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for night-time service
* Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
* Follow food safety and hygiene standards rigorously
* Support the kitchen team in various tasks, including washing up and cleaning duties
* Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during night shifts
* Respond promptly to customer requests and maintain a customer-focused approach
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment
Qualifications
* Food hygiene certificate (required)
* Previous experience in catering or food service (preferred)
* Proficiency in food preparation and handling techniques
* Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Strong cleaning and sanitation skills
* Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and measurements
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities
* Team player with good communication skills
* GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent (preferred)
* Physical stamina to work night shifts and perform kitchen duties
* Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed
