Application Support Analyst York, 4 days per week on site Up to £37,500 Why Apply? This is a newly created role within a respected and high performing IT team of a dynamic Yorkshire based company. You'll be working on a range of internal applications, helping to evolve and improve them based on business needs. From gathering and refining change requests, to working with developers on solutions, and considering the broader business impact of each update, this is a hands on, delivery focused role that sits right at the intersection of users, systems and support. Responsibilities: Provide day to day support for bespoke business applications (e.g. SQL-based, Sage, client-server systems) Respond to user queries, troubleshoot application issues and escalate where needed Liaise with developers to help implement bug fixes and minor enhancements Document support procedures and contribute to application knowledge base Assist with testing and release of updates to ensure minimal user disruption Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in a technical support role such as application support, IT helpdesk, or infrastructure Familiarity with how web applications and client-server models function Confident communicator with the ability to support users of varying technical skill Practical problem-solving skills and a keen eye for spotting recurring issues Desire to move into a more hybrid role with analysis, support, and delivery involvement Working knowledge of SQL, XML or scripting tools (e.g. PowerShell, Python) What's in it for me?
