Sales Director / Head of Sales role for the South West region. Location: South West Region. Salary: Competitive. Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time. Closing Date: 4th November 2025.
Our client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Director / Head of Sales to lead the South West region. This is a leadership opportunity to shape sales strategy, inspire a high-performing team, and drive revenue growth within a values-driven, people-first culture and ambitious growth plans.
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
* Plan and manage staffing across developments, including recruitment, training, and succession planning.
* Monitor and evaluate performance across live sites; identify and address challenges to ensure consistent delivery.
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies (including CML, Transparency, Consumer Code, and CPR Regulations).
* Champion the customer journey to provide an exceptional buyer experience.
* Oversee marketing and CRM activity; ensure campaigns and digital engagement align with brand objectives.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Construction, Technical, Commercial, and Land teams to deliver developments on time and within budget.
* Analyse and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy and profitability.
* Contribute to land acquisition through market insights, scheme recommendations, and profitability assessments.
* Build and maintain relationships with agents, solicitors, mortgage advisors, valuers, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Sales Director or Senior Sales Manager within housebuilding or residential development.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel around the region and to site visits.
* Strong track record of delivering sales success and achieving business objectives.
* Inspirational leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teams to high performance.
* Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, monitor margins, and drive profitability.
* Highly organised, proactive, adaptable, with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
* Collaborative approach with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
