About the Role
Your role as a Senior Care Assistant involves supporting the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, creating a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities include:
* Monitoring residents' wellbeing, noting any changes affecting care plans, and updating records accordingly.
* Participating in person-centred care planning, including implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting their development.
* Acting as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are acted upon and concerns escalated.
About You
To succeed, you will embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability in all you do. The ideal candidate will have:
* An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Flexibility and responsiveness to a range of responsibilities.
