We strive to have enjoyable and engaging lessons that encourage as many students as possible to continue with their learning and development outside of lesson time. Many of our students take up the opportunity to study PE at examination level in KS4 and at A Level, and as well as fostering a love of physical education and a commitment to the benefits that exercise can bring, we also aim to use PE to benefit students' confidence and broad skills such as tactical awareness, decision making, teamwork, collaboration and leadership. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs that are open to all students and are extremely well attended; many students go on to represent our school in competitive fixtures. The person appointed would be keen to contribute to this extra-curricular provision and ideally would be able to complement and improve an already strong wider curriculum offer.
