Protocol Education is recruiting dedicated SEND Teachers to support a range of specialist schools, alternative provisions and SEND environments across Havering and Thurrock. Our partner schools support pupils with a wide range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD and complex learning needs.

As a SEND Teacher, you will:
Support pupils across a variety of specialist and SEND school settings
Build confidence working with students with ASD, SEMH and complex needs
Develop strong behaviour management and communication strategies
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, teaching assistants and pastoral teams
Deliver tailored and differentiated lessons to support EHCP outcomes
Gain experience across different age groups, abilities and learning environments

Many of our teachers go on to secure long-term or permanent positions within schools where they initially undertake supply work.
To be considered for these SEND Teaching opportunities, you should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Experience within SEND, SEMH or specialist provisions is desirable
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A patient, resilient and proactive approach to teaching
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
A commitment to inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
