PA to CEO Executive Assistant Are you an experienced Executive Assistant with a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and local authority policy? We’re seeking a highly organised and discreet professional to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO. Role Overview As Executive Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and ensuring that all activities align with internal governance standards and policies. You’ll be a trusted point of contact, helping to maintain operational efficiency and uphold compliance across all administrative functions. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO and Executives leadership team, including diary management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination. Prepare, proofread, and manage confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations. Ensure all administrative processes comply with governance and policy frameworks. Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives. Monitor deadlines and follow up on actions to ensure timely delivery of key projects. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with data protection and compliance standards. Support the preparation and coordination of committee papers, briefings, and governance reports. Assist with the implementation of internal policies and procedures. Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Requirements Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally with some experience within a local authority or public sector environment. Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and local authority policy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint). Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Working arrangements Salary: £40,000 Location: Dagenham Contract Type: Fixed-Term (3 - 6 months, with potential to extend) - Immediate start. Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week.
