As one of the Occupational Health Advisors within Kirklees Council’s Employee Healthcare team, you will work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team providing a high quality integrated occupational health service to Kirklees Council and a number of external organisations.
We are looking for someone to join our team who has excellent communication skills, a desire to develop their own knowledge and skills, and the enthusiasm to assist people to take responsibility for their own health and well‑being.
The range of duties associated with this role is broad and includes carrying out pre‑employment screening to determine fitness for work, giving appropriate advice and support for prospective employees and new starters; delivering a range of vaccinations as determined by clinical need; undertaking occupational health assessments and providing objective advice and guidance to managers and their employees to support positive attendance at work; and supporting the wider team in its delivery of health surveillance and Wellbeing activities.
Essential Requirements Of This Role
* Qualified Nurse with current NMC registration
* Occupational Health degree/diploma or willingness to work towards
* Experience of encountering complex problems and resolving them
* Ability to manage challenging situations, using clear judgement to advise others
