The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practice administration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels

Rate of pay: - £12.80

Hours: Wednesday 9-3.30, Thursday 9-3.30 and Friday 1.30-5.30

Pension: - NHS


Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities will be to complete the administration of our Long Term Conditions Service. This will include;

* Inviting patients to appointments
* Monitoring patient attendance
* Other duties will include;
* Opening and processing of the post
* Scanning, filing and general office duties.
* Preparation of the Meeting Room for external and internal meetings.
* Assigning patient clinical letters to the appropriate doctors on the scanning workflow.
* Admin Duties Laminating, photocopying, filing and faxing.
* Data inputting.
* Allocating patients results to the correct doctors
* Monitoring patient attendance

* Inviting patients to appointments
* Monitoring patient attendance
* Opening and processing of the post
* Scanning, filing and general office duties
* Preparation of the meeting room for externaland internal meetings
* Assigning patient clinical letters to theappropriate doctors on the scanning
* Photocopying, filing and emailing
* Data inputting
* Updating notice boards on the premises
* Allocating patients results
* Creating photo ID badges for new members ofthe team
* Must be able to work on their own or as partof a team

The post holder must adhere to alllegislation relating to confidentiality, data protection and access to records.

Health & Safety:

The post-holder will assist in promotingand maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined inthe practice Health & Safety Policy, to include:

Usingpersonal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines

Identifyingthe risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a waythat manages those risks. To be responsible forhealth and safety according to the Health & Safety Work Act (1974).

Makingeffective use of training to update knowledge and skills

Usingappropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy andsafe way and free from hazards

Taking responsibilityfor own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills andactivities to others who are undertaking similar work.

Attend regular practicemeetings and take part in all training considered to be essential to the role


Person Specification


Experience

* Evidence of working in a busy environment
* Experience of working independently with minimal supervision
* Previous work experience as a GP practice administration
* Knowledge of NHS confidentiality Protocols
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements


Qualifications

* Educated to O level GCSE grade C or above or equivalent experience
